hmmm...I haven't been tagged since my early days of blogging. My Good Friend Lisa (who appears to be supporting the Aryan Resistance with her gorgeous league of blond haired, blue eyed minions; I KID! Well, her kids ARE blond haired blue eyed beauties, but I don't think it's a movement...it's just genetics;)

Anyway, she has asked me to list for you six things you might find Quirky. Honestly, it would be easier to just list six things that aren't quirky; 'cause I'm all about The Quirk, you know.

1. While I love most babies, I merely tolerate most children.  It (almost) embarrasses me to even type this one out. There are a handful of exceptions; for instance, I like my own children (most days) and Lisa has pretty great kids and my oldest and dearest friend Andrea has the most delightful daughter, ever! She is like a Mini-Andrea, and since I like Andrea more than almost anyone else on Earth it would stand to reason that I would also like her spawn.

2. I am very conscientious about what foods I serve simultaneously. There are certain foods that just "go together" and if you are eating a meal that I have prepared for you, you can rest assured that your taste buds will be treated to a loverly, three part harmony of flavour.  This might qualify as a separate quirk, altogether...but since it relates, I am listing it here. I like to have a little bit of each food on my plate in each bite...hence the harmony.

3. I have a very rigid shower routine. I do everything in the same, exact order, every time I shower. If I accidentally do something out of order, I have to start from the beginning, again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

4. I am terrified of driving on the Autobahn. I have lived in Germany for more than 6 1/2 years of my adult life, thus far. I am fully aware that there are people who come from all over the world just to drive fast on Germany's (in)famous motorways. I will admit to taking a few (VERY) short trips via the Autobahn in my local area, but just the mere thought of having to merge into lanes of very fast moving traffic sends me into a full panic. I will go to painstaking measures to find a back way to almost anywhere I need to go. <shudder>

5. I have an unhealthy addiction to scrapbooking supplies. I know that this is nothing unusual, because there are about a gazillion women who share this addiction...but what makes this one particularly quirky for me is that I HATE to scrapbook. Almost all of my photographs are on various hard drives and disks; backed up in triplicate. Sadly, there are way too many of them and the task of getting them all edited and organized is just to daunting for me to do anything about it. I think it has been about two years since I actually had any of my snapshots printed. OK...so maybe it's not the scrapping that I hate, but the organizational process leading up to it. But seriously? Have you SEEN the different papers and embellishments available?? SQUEE!!! OK...I just lost the few cool points I had left.

6. I hate bare feet. I don't care how cute you think your feet are; they really aren't. Not only do feet look nasty, they have a severe propensity for smelling nasty, too. BLECH. Aside from the obvious aesthetic issues, I just can not STAND dirty feet. Mine or yours. Just the thought of having little bits of dirt or dog hair or WHATHAVEYOU stuck to the bottoms of my feet gives me a serious case of the heebie jeebies.

LOL!! Too funny about perpetuating the Aryan race. AND you've only met my kids a few times; otherwise, I doubt that we'd qualify.

Strange, we must be related or something. I too have a thing with food... I was horrified to find that George does NOT like stewed tomatoes and did NOT want me to make them with meat loaf and mac n' cheese. The shower routine is sacred... I also wash my hands 8 billion times a day... I can't even drive on 495 much less anything faster. I find all craft supplies yummy and crayons.... oh the crayons ooh and gel pens!! Bare feet... ick.. I always wear socks, or my crocs.... things stuck to feet..... *gag* and feet in general *gag* You know, we should be part of a study or something.... but only if they agree to PAY us. ;)

heh...we MUST be related, Ang;) And what kind of person doesn't like stewed tomatoes and mac & cheese with their meat loaf??? As for the feet...I even wear socks with my crocs. I didn't mention my hand washing obsession because I think that falls more into my CRAZY category than the QUIRKY category. I have been known to strip my hands of the top several layers of skin from my hand washing:)

Heh. I, too, have a low tolerance for Other People's Children. Some days, I don't even like my own all that much, but as one is almost 14 and the other two are toddlers, I don't think anyone will be surprised by my admission....

Bare feet - I like my own feet to be bare, but I'd rather be spared the sight of anyone else's, thankyouverymuch.
